Pirate Harbour Deals
Barter your cargo, build alliances and sail home with the biggest treasure.

About
In Pirate Harbour Deals, each team plays the crew of a pirate ship arriving in port with a hull full of cargo to barter. Each crew must decide quickly how to make the most of what it carries.
Their goal is to build up treasure by forming relationships with other merchants in port, while using their cunning to gather vital market information. Every crew has different goods and different needs, so knowing who wants what is half the battle.
The game runs over four cycles, each representing a year. Every year begins with teams doing business and ends with them returning to port to collect bounty on certain goods.
As the game moves on, teams develop relationships with each other and share what they have learned. The crews that balance clever deals with trusted partnerships sail home with the most treasure.
Learning outcomes
Pirate Harbour Deals is a fun, fast-moving and highly immersive pirate-themed game that explores negotiation, information gathering and networking.
It is an incredibly versatile game that grabs attention straight away and always creates a highly charged atmosphere. From the first minute, crews are bargaining, scheming and forming alliances.
At its heart is building trust in customer relationships, and how each team manages this is the key to its success. Crews that keep their promises tend to find more partners willing to deal with them in later years.
Although it is a competitive exercise, the most successful teams are those that work with others to create win-win outcomes while still focusing on their own bottom line. Participants leave with a sharper sense of when to compete, when to cooperate and how valuable good information and trusted relationships can be.
