Symphony in Ninety Minutes
No musical ability needed: play as a real symphony in just 90 minutes.

About
In Symphony in Ninety Minutes, a group of people with no musical ability learns to play like a real symphony in just 90 minutes.
Participants learn to play real instruments, including strings, woodwind, brass and percussion.
Once everyone has chosen an instrument, they work in separate sections under the guidance of expert musicians, learning their part step by step until they feel confident. Expert musicians make sure every participant has an instrument that suits them and a part they can master.
When the sections are ready, they come together as one mighty symphony under the baton of the conductor to play a specially written, five-minute piece of music. The effect is electrifying, and few people forget the moment they first hear the whole group play.
Learning outcomes
This is one of the most demanding and rewarding team events there is. It stretches people beyond their perceived limits and asks for hard work, total concentration and real teamwork.
But as hard as the challenge is, the reward is an experience that will never be forgotten.
A symphony is one of the best examples of a team working as one. Emotionally and creatively, the players have to be tuned in to each other, and people doing very different tasks have to work together towards a common goal.
Participants see first-hand how each section's contribution matters, and how listening, timing and trust turn many individual parts into one powerful result. It is a celebration of what a team can achieve together.
