About

Command Crossroads is a game about leading people. It is an entertaining learning tool in which participants build their knowledge and practise their skills by overcoming a series of realistic business challenges.

At the start, each participant is given a game character with its own personality, and they make the learning journey together. Their aim is to make the best decision in every challenge and earn points.

Twelve challenges are available, from urgent turnarounds and staff turnover crises to communication breakdowns and organisational change. For each one, players picture the context, read between the lines, weigh the pros and cons and choose the most appropriate action.

Business challenges arrive one after another, important issues need urgent and careful handling, and people are looking to the leader for answers. The clock is ticking.

Learning outcomes

By experimenting with realistic workplace challenges, participants become more aware of their own style of leading people and its impact on team climate and results.

They see why different approaches are needed to inspire, engage and motivate people, and they practise choosing the right approach for each situation. Seeing how others would handle the same situation opens up new options and challenges assumptions about what leading well looks like.

The game also helps participants identify the areas they want to improve or develop further. It suits anyone in business who leads people today or hopes to in the future. Many participants leave with a short list of practical actions to try with their own teams.

Through discussion and the game's highly interactive format, participants get a clearer picture of their current level and plenty of chances to practise communication, collaboration, active listening, persuasion and consultation.
