About

Special Ops Briefcase is a highly engaging themed business game. Guided by a series of video briefs, teams open locked briefcases to uncover the challenges and resources they need to support a special operations investigation into a crime syndicate.

The event is driven by video briefs delivered at set points throughout the program, replicating real-time status updates. A countdown timer shows teams how long they have until the next update.

At the centre of the game is a briefcase with four locked compartments, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. Each compartment, once opened, reveals new challenges and resources for teams to assess and solve.

A secure tablet and app link teams to the operations team, where they submit their findings for action. With every update the pressure rises, and only well-coordinated teams keep pace.

Learning outcomes

In Special Ops Briefcase, teams are challenged to think strategically and use agile ways of working to connect the right people and information at the right time.

Participants develop a real appreciation of the important role that communication across functions plays in leading through changing situations and performing under pressure. Teams soon realise that the right answer is useless if it reaches the operations team too late.

The countdown between video briefs adds urgency, encouraging teams to prioritise, delegate and decide quickly without losing accuracy. Clear roles and quick check-ins help teams stay calm as the deadlines approach.

The engaging theme and carefully designed variety of challenges keep every participant involved, and give teams a clear picture of individual strengths and gaps, team dynamics and the real power of working together.
