About

Mars Habitat Mission opens with an intriguing video message: the air on Mars needs immediate improvement, and your teams have been chosen to fix it. Right now conditions there are survivable, but to create a place where people can truly live and work together, much more is needed.

Teams set out on a journey of quests, each one designed to uncover an ingredient for a good and healthy environment. Each quest brings the teams one step closer to the right mix, and every team member’s input counts.

The stakes are high. If the teams fail to solve the quests, the new world will be ruined and the mission will fail.

Working together, and sometimes competing, teams must discover the perfect recipe for their new home and help humankind take its next big step.

Learning outcomes

Mars Habitat Mission is a fun, experiential learning game that builds teamwork and problem-solving skills in an entertaining, immersive setting.

Effective communication and active listening are essential ingredients for success. Teams quickly find that missed information or crossed wires slow the whole mission down.

Throughout the game, players come to realise that each person is responsible for caring for and creating a good climate in which everyone can work together successfully, on Mars and back in the office.

The playful framework offers a platform to look at the working climate and chemistry within your own team. It also helps you identify which ingredients matter most to your team, giving a natural starting point for conversations about how you want to work together. Many teams find the debrief is where the real breakthroughs happen.
