About

Summer Stages Music Trail invites teams to become a group of friends heading to a summer music festival. A game app guides them to GPS-located stages set up around the venue grounds.

The festival has seven stages, each dedicated to a different music genre. When a team arrives at a stage, the app unlocks a range of challenges: solving puzzles, taking photos and filming videos of festival moments, and researching real facts on the festival’s support website.

Teams plan their route, share out tasks and move quickly to make the most of their time, earning points for every challenge they complete.

The team with the highest score wins. The format can also be played remotely, in hybrid teams or across several locations, so colleagues in different offices or countries can join the same festival.

Learning outcomes

Summer Stages Music Trail sparks memories and conversations that help teams grow closer and keep talking long after the game ends.

Each round encourages players to review and improve their problem-solving skills and processes. By learning to gather and share information effectively, teams see their progress reflected in their score and in their growing knowledge of the music industry.

Limited time and resources test team dynamics and push people to be creative and spot opportunities.

Every stage lets teams assign specific tasks to different members, so each person can play to their strengths for the good of the whole group, and everyone feels part of the win. The friendly race between teams adds energy and fun, while the mix of puzzles, creative photos and research means every type of thinker has something to contribute to the final score.
