Giant Marionette Crew
Build a giant puppet and bring it to life, one control at a time.

About
In Giant Marionette Crew, teams collect their kits and props, then study and discuss the construction instructions. Every kit includes everything needed to create a figure that stands taller than its makers.
They divide into sub-teams to complete the different parts of the puppet. The puppet is then assembled, its controls attached and the whole figure decorated.
Next, the team stands the puppet up using its nine controllers and works to make it perform simple human actions. Teams must break each seemingly basic task into achievable steps, as every movement needs several people working together.
To succeed, each team becomes a nerve centre controlling a host of movements, aiming to wow colleagues with an effortless performance. The finale sees every puppet perform a popular dance move, guaranteed to bring the house down.
Learning outcomes
Giant Marionette Crew requires every person to be involved in strategy and project planning, both when building the puppet and when bringing it to life. Because no one can move the puppet alone, every person's contribution is visible and valued.
Making the puppet carry out human actions takes keen teamwork, crystal-clear communication, process improvement and real operational excellence.
But it is not all serious work. Imagine the laughter as each participant takes control of a different body part and tries to mimic actions like walking, waving or blowing a kiss.
The finale keeps the laughs coming as teams make their puppet dance. Along the way, everyone experiences how a complex task becomes possible when it is broken into steps and each person plays their part in perfect time.
